84 bbi spare tire hold down and battery cover thumb nuts.

    84 bbi - putting a new battery in today and notices there is no hold down for the spare tire. The owners manual doesn't show one but there must be something. The parts diagrams show a "hold down strap" but I can't see any place to attach it. Info or a pic would be great.
    Also the battery cover is held down by three nuts. On mine the top one is a Thumb nut while the other two are standard nuts. Is this correct or should all three be Thumb nuts?
    Just trying to get it right.

    The strap goes under the top knurled nut. I have a bunch of those straps if you need one. I have them reproduced for the cars I restore or in most cases a car comes here missing the strap. Its only purpose would be to keep the wheel from making a thump in the front over a significant bump. Should be three knurled nuts.
