Its some of the original paint left on the fiberglass because the paint was in great shape, the varying colours show that the bumper wasn't straight but it is now and there's no need to take it all off to the raw material then put it all back on again.

Fantastic thread! Please keep posting photos of your work. Thank you. I don't have a Boxer, but a good friend has an 84 512BBi (#49171), which he drives regularly. I was fortunate to witness the engine out service on his Boxer recently. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Carb'd wheels. Don't see that on an injected car very often. I considered the same on my ex-injected car as well.
Original wheels (for car in above picture) are in bags with great looking but very hard TRXs. Had them on this summer for our local concours.
First coat of single stage paint. Will wet sand and apply another coat. Then the black. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
this. also many think the ultra shiny look one gets from a base coat clear coat does not have the real depth that a well laid down single stage paint has.
Single stage is available I believe in solid colors, not metallic. Single stage can be cleared over also.
More pics. Two coats of red then it bakes and sits then wet sand followed by two more light coats then baking and more sitting then black then polish red. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
what kind of paint is your painter spraying? I believe Glasurit was original as in my '83 but not 100% sure. Looks great!
