    Can someone with an 84 boxer tell me if the 12 cylinder warranty card cover is black or brown? Also the dealer locator - red book in the pouch, what year does it say on the cover? Anyone have one that has 1984 on the front cover? Anyone have a late 84 with an 85 manual?

    My car, 49171, listed as a 1984, and sold on 12/24/1983, has a brown warranty book, titled Warrarty Card andOwner's Service Book. I do not have a dealer pamphlet or pouch.

    Hi Paul,
    Here's the warranty book version I have filled out for a September 1983 512BBi Boxer.
    It's brown the third line in French not German.
    The inside back cover has a print code: Cat.256/83 - 500.

    I have seen other Brown with the third line in German but I'm not sure of the catalog number for that version.
