Whilst on the ramp this week I have noticed the main clutch pipe that runs through the body is badly corroded, I’ve looked online and can’t find the part
Has anyone changed this and know if it’s a pig of a job?

    Thanks
    Ross

I'm not sure what you are talking about - if you mean the linkage, I have one from my 83 QV US model I'm not using (no V8, transmission, no need for a shifter linkage anymore)

It comes in two pieces and you can disconnect it at the center console and at the engine. I suspect you can pull it forward but I suspect I may have removed mine rearwards because I had already removed the engine.

If interested, shoot me a PM. I'm happy to work out a deal

It’s the rotten pipe that connects to the flexi that goes to the clutch slave cylinder

I did see that and wonder but no idea as I assumed it run to the front of the car to the servo so would be very long and more money at a guess

Ahh, i see now. An easy solution maybe to take the two ends to a hydraulic line shop and have them custom fabricate you a new line.
A SS brake line would be more flexible and easier to install than a straight tubing

I had royal brass in San Jose do the same thing for my track car to get a slightly longer than stock clutch line that also included a disconnect in the middle. This made it easier to remove the engine and transmission without having to reach into the bell housing to disconnect the clutch line. That doesn't seem to be an issue in this car.

    Probably a good call!
Guess will have to work out where it goes through the car next, I can see it goes from the inner arch into the car then disappears
    Lots of stripping I think

    thanks

I didn't think too much about it once I realized I was going to remove it l, not reinstall it, and it had minimal resale value but I seem to recall it went down the center channel. Make sure when you do remove it you only remove the clutch line vs the rear brake line
