Gents, One bank of cylinders stops running when the engine gets hot. After a few cycles of the rad fans. I have done no diagnostic, just symptoms to relate. Cold? Runs fine, and at normal operating temps, good, park it for lunch and something is getting heat soaked and not working… Ideas please. and Rifledriver moved … Grazie Mille.
Great suspect Will check, It might be that but seems ambient temp related. Thank you for weighing in. Cheers.
My first place to check wold be the fuse box white connectors. While you mention ambient, don't forget that a bad connection in the fuse box will have its own "ambient". As soon as the circuit board gets too hot it will limit conductivity and give you the problem, once cool and the connection solder set it with start to work again. This is a common fault with many Ferraris of that age. Any way thats where I would start and after that I would check the fuel pump to the faulty bank. HTH P
I agree with the above...check the fuse box first. I would check the fuel pump relays as they do get hot. A little trick is to pull each fuel pump relay and bend the tabs slightly outwards and stick them back in. The heat transfers to the board and the plastic holding the receiver pins gets slightly warped. Shamile Freeze. ..Miami Vice! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk
Gents, Sounds like a viable plan. Thank you for weighing in. I will slightly bent the connectors to increase surface area and look for signs/evidence of heat there. Grazie Mille.
