I need to have the cam belts replaced on my 85 QV. I plan on doing the rest of the service my self. Any idea what the cost of the belt and bearing replacement will run . The car will only be driven a few thousand miles a year, are oem parts are good choice.

Buy the Hill Engineering bearings. They're better than the original.

I just did my belts and bearings and I bought the Hill Engineering and they are almost too nice to put on the car!

    Welcome!

I am glad you are on the forum. It is a great resource and you will appreciate the amount of information that is available to you.

The 85QV is a great motor, very reliable, and easy to maintain.

It was all in fun. He's doing great. He will read and soon understand the humor in my "oil" comment :) Steven...a warm welcome to you. Here's some essential reading on the subject of motor oil in your QV: http://www.ttalk.info/Zddp.htm

As your questions come up, we'll all be here :)
