Nero Metallico and tan , No You won't find another one. NOT A TRAILER QUEEN. 54,xxx miles. I bought the car to drive it and even though I just retired , I don't have enough time. With the muscle car and impending Healey 3000 resto I'n too busy... O.K. I'll nitpick the car first. It has cosmetic flaws 1. stone chips in the front. I have a ton of records for the car including the original invoice verifying it is a real nero metallic. It appears at least the front clip has been repainted once and maybe the whole car but there is no record of this. The car had dealer installed rubber bumper strips in the waist band channel around the car. When I removed them You could see on the front clip where paint was applied over adhesive in the channel but on the rest of the car the adhesive was exposed so I removed the glue. 2. The pass. side of the car on the front clip but between the wheel well and the door there is evidence of surface putty, not very thick but the paint didn't adhere correctly. The rest of the paint is better than average. 3. The fiberglass skirt aft of the Pass side rear wheel well is cracked . 4. Some of the window and door seals are cracked. The known to Me mechanical issues 1. Oil leaks from where the oil thermistor enters the oil pan and the front bank distributor shaft. The records I have show the car has always leaked oil at that dist. and been repaired several times so factory flaw I guess. 2. The A/C does not blow cold. Electrical Gremlins 1. The drivers side cabin temp indicator LED's show full hot all the time, You can adjust the temp but it shows full hot. 2. The fog/driving lights come on with the headlights whether the switch is off or on. 3 The speedo is not accurate but strangely enough the clock works most of the time. 4 The magnified maplight bulb is burned out.5 The radio probably does not work but the antenna does go in and out. Those are the negatives. The interior was replaced in '07 and still looks fantastic, minimal wear in the driver seat bolsters. Two small dime sized stains on the headliner from previous owner that I was afraid if I cleaned would leave two spots anyway. The car runs great, good oil pressure, starts everytime cold. On hot days if You are doing errands and drive turn off car for 5 mins and then start it and repeat sometimes You need to crack the throttle to get it to fire quick. If She sits for 20 mins no problem starting. Brakes are good clutch is good. I did timing belts plus Hill bearings and Dutchman water pump in Oct. 2011. At The same time I installed Scuderia Rampante Ignition wires, fuel lines and most of the cooling lines. I replaced rear suspension bushings and a joint boot in 2012. Everything else has been general maintenance . The leather owners book is there the original window sticker showing extra charge for metallic paint is there. Most of the tools are there,no flashlight. I have no idea what the car is worth so not sure of a price yet but I'm working on it. I will edit this ad as I think about the car in case I have forgotten something. Send Your questions to this post so everybody can see the answers, I'll check it daily.

    Nice car!

My guess is a Nero GTB with >50K miles and the standard issues and positive improvements shown would be near 40K. Best to list on ebay with a 60K reserve and see how high it goes (use a high reserve so you don't pay ebay for final value unless you get the 60K--unlikely, but would be cool).

FYI, to improve electrical gremlins, clean the relay board and the climate controls (>90% rubbing alcohol and Q-tips...let dry before reinstall).

Good Luck, and sell to Mark to keep in the FC family.

O.K. I've gotten a few questions via P.M. but easier to answer them here so I don't get repeats. I will take pics of the cracked skirt and the small spot where the paint doesn't look right. I will add a pic of the waist channel where the paint over glue is. Remember prospective buyers, NERO METALLICO it looks dark grey in sunlight ,don't expect black. I was not able to find any evidence that the car was ever in any kind of accident. The electric gremlins have been there the 5 years I have owned the car, since they had no real detrimental affect on the car I left them alone. The car is located N.W. side of Cincinnati Ohio.

IMO, mid to low $50k might be a good place to start. Maybe the actual buying price would be around the mid to high $40k.

Yes, 50,000 miles is considered on the high side but this is a rare model that is becoming desirable.

That stuff is all fixable. Depending on the service history of the car, in current condition and this market, I think that it's probably worth maybe a touch over $40k.

$43k is a fantastic price for that color combo and the mileage. Any new owner can drive and not worry about depreciation. And they will have a unique color 328 that will stand out in the field of Rosso Corsa. This should go quickly!

Glad to see that you are passing it onto a fellow F-chatter. It's a great driver's car and well described/disclosed by your ad. I'm sure it will put a smile on the next owner each time they row through the gears.

Interesting that with the car priced in the low $40's you have a line around the corner to buy it.
