    Hi guys,

The car just came out of service, starts perfectly, idles but after 5mins once I push the gas pedal the idle speed drops and engine cuts off. It’s an '86 Euro model, no cats.

I can’t attach a video here but filmed what happens.

Do you know what’s the issue?

    Thanks in advance.

Can you post some pictures of the engine (especially the top of the engine sort of under the airbox, and the area over the RR wheel well)? I believe a 1986 F113A 046 engine is a Swiss version TR, and am unsure whether it's K-Jet without Lambda or KE-Jet without Lambda.

    Hi Steve,

I‘m not at home currently but can confirm it’s a Swiss with KE-Jetronic. Thanks in advance

Unfortunately, being KE-Jet without Lambda (and no O2 sensors), you can't easily measure what can be very useful to measure in diagnosing issues.

When you say, "The car just came out of service":

    1. Does this mean it was something significant where the shop would be adjusting/messing with the injection system?

    2. Did it ever run OK when warm after the service and this trouble just appeared suddenly out of nowhere, or has it never run well when warm after the service?

(Can't recall any other previous report of "cold-running OK, but warm running bad" on the KE-Jets. It usually is "all running bad" or "cold-running bad, but warm-running OKish.)

Hi Steve, yes, once warm everything is running fine. I will have to bring her to a workshop and get it checked then.
