Ok.. looking for help on this one.. Time to replace the Front shocks / coils on my '86 Mondial Cabrio with 42K miles on it. I have all the bushings and ball joints to change out at the same time (heck, I will probably paint up the control arms, etc while I'm at it).

What recommendations does the group have for replacement shocks / coils? Replace with factory Koni or.......??? Also, what are the best sources for these based on cost and availabilty.

    Thanks

    Mike

Shop around, but for standard replacement, the usual suspects are:

    FChat sponsor Ricambi
Eurospares (exchange rate is actually ok now)
    Trutlands

If you want a performance upgrade, I had very good results with Carobu Engineering

Thanks for the response.. I'll inquire with each and weight the costs and offerings. If anyone in Fchat is sitting on a set of OEM (NOS or rebuilt) Koni's and correct spring rate coils, I'd like to talk to them as well.

    Thanks again!

I just bought some Mondial shocks (Koni) from Eurospares. They had the best price by far of anyone I called, the exchange rate right now is pretty good, their shipping was very reasonable from England and they are super nice on the phone to boot.

Not sure if that's the right one. I forget off the top of my head if an '86 is a QV or a 3.2
