This morning, after few weeks in garage I decide to drive the Tr just few miles...
I notice the low pressure, but after warmingup it looks better. After few minutes on the road, at low RPM, I felt some lost trottle response and after stop at red light there was some smoke. I stop. Overheating or oil burning? I took a faster road and after seed up it was OK... really good, no exitation neither smoke. The preeure was normal, but at iddle still on the low side. I have few ideas of what is going on, but since I am kind of newby regarding TR's I would ask you guys what is going on ? Electric, valves, oil, pump ?

Hmm.. Greetings and hope all is well. Low pressure on idle is pretty normal. When you blip the throttle you should see the pressure go up. The pressure would go up on acceleration as well. Smoke at stop light is puzzling to me. What color was the smoke. Blue hue or white? Black sooty type etc.. Please advise.

Can't tell the color...maybe dark...not sure. Was fast, since I turn engine off as soon I notice.
Before smoke I felt lost of power. And after it happen i could keep high rpm and the power came back.... No smoke... The pressure was back to normal while driving faster. Like if nothing happen.

Before you do anything radical, put an external gauge on it to see the true readings. Do not trust the gauge in the dash.

Once you see the real oil pressure, it's easier to see what may be the problem.

Also don't think the two events are directly related. The loss of power could be fuel and nothing to do with oil pressure.

Good luck. We all wish it to be a really simple solution.

I decided to warm up the Tr today and see if still smoking. Start was normal with few white smoke... oil pressure normal... after few minutes, normal. I notice the exhaust was blowing wet and there was water on the ground. Normal condensation.
So, the Tr feels normal. :)
