Had one in college. It was a fun daily driver, but never had a chance to track it. As Tillman said, go to Pennock's Fiero Forum. The car
has enough of a cult following to keep many upgraded parts available, such as Corvette brakes, Porsche suspension, etc., producing
some impressive performance results for little money. I've seen a few racing in the SCCA.

I had two of them in college (the 90s).

    4 cylinder 2m4
    6 cylinder GT

Loved those cars back then. Don't care for them much now. But I have to give Pontiac credit for building a fun little car with pretty nice looks. Sure beat the looks of most everything else back in '84-88.

My first car was a 1987 Fiero Gt. It was a fun little car even though it tried to kill me a few times. I sent it down to the Fiero Factory in Alabama to get the engine rebuilt a few years back and it runs great. After driving my S2000 as a daily driver though I really cant enjoy the fiero experience as much. Either way after 20 or so years the main concern with tracking the car would be going through and redoing the suspension. Also throwing some upgraded breaks on it would be a good idea.

and also as mentioned fiero.nl has some great resources.
