89 Mondial T Accessory Switch Replacement

Can some kind soul shed some light on how the heck to get the forward console panel (under the radio slot) and shifter panel off in order to replace (likely) bad switches for bonnets and radio aerial? There was a thead here somewhere before that I can no longer find. No clue on how to get the vertical console off and I get loosening the ashtray screws to free the horizontal switch panel, but it won't lift out. Help appreciated. Thanks

 

Appreciate the help. Someone had glued over the screws in the cassette box and I couldn't even see them. Got them off. Ugly, but it worked. Much appreciated. Now, anyone know how the switch panel above the radio comes off?
