Hey, they always smile as they issue you a ticket for it.

    May I suggest:

Meet in front of Manhattan Motorcars.

Proceed down Westside Hwy, thru Battery Tunnel.

Up onto FDR to Midtown Tunnel or Wlliamsburg Bridge.

    From there... ???

I vote we cruise down the Westside Hwy, up the FDR and take the Bklyn Bridge (for pictures) or the Williamsburg to the BQE and up to LIE.

OR we can cruise across town, take the 59th Street Bridge and get the LIE.

No need to risk getting a ticket when we have a bunch of cars - its like asking for it. And if one guy gets stopped, there's no place to stop and wait for him after the tunnel (like last time when Vik got stopped).

I say we meet at 8:00, bc if we meet at 8:30 and fool around a bit, then its gonna be 9:00 and for sure there will be NYC traffic with 9/11 and all...

THere is a slim chance that I can meet up with you guys when you get out onto the Island. Slim, because I'm going to be out late tonight and then we are having my daughter's birthday party tomorrow afternoon. So if it turns out that I can get out for a bit I'll call Sam and hook up with him in the morning. Is that OK, with you Sam? And is your cellphone number still the same?
I'm going to try to at least get out for some kind of drive to blow the dust off my car. Dave and Andy... are you guys around?

    the Plan:

    - 8:00 am at Manhattan Motorcars: 270 11th Avenue

    - We'll head down the FDR, through the battery park Underpass, across a bridge to LI

    - We'll pick up Sam on Roslyn Road in front of Silver Star Porsche around 9:00 ~ 9:30

    - Continue East on 25a through the prescribed route.

    - We'll stop at the public beach on the end of Eaton's Neck, decide on a lunch plan...

    - Before lunch, we'll make a quick stop at Habberstad BMW to say hit to the sukkas that have to work on Sunday!

The only "downside" is that I have to go to Keri's parent's house in Wantagh that afternoon so I will not be driving all the way back to NYC.

Here's a "rough" marker of where we'll end up Sunday.

Here are some Google Map Links:

    Start

    Germana Pickup

    Destination

    Habberstad

WARNING: THERE IS A STRETCH OF ROAD ON THE TRIP WHERE THE SPEED LIMIT IS 30MPH -- AND YES, THEY ARE SERIOUS THAT IT IS 30 MPH. WE WILL BE TRAVELING 25MPH ON THAT STRETCH OF ROAD. IT IS NO JOKE. IT'S INDICATED ON THE MAP NEAR "ASHAROKEN".

Nice run today, guys.... You have no idea how much I needed to get out and do that. Even the slow part up through Ashroaken or however it is spelled , was good. I think I got sunburn... maybe I should have put the top up ;)

Hookup at the Porsche place. What a surprise seeing so many of the gang waiting! Ed, Mike, Smokin' Sammy G in his Mondi, And I know I'm missing a couple.
The run out & around Ashoken & lunch at the SHACK where the women still remembered us from last year & wanted to know when we'd be back.

'member, they'll eat your heart out :)

And Ed, is that really how you eat a soft-shelled crab? :)

YES, we do know what Emil had for lunch!

And two 355's playing nice on 110 heading back home .
Thanks to Dave for leading a 308 & Supra home. It was a fun run back.

Awesome run today guys... just killer. Emil - Asharoken was an excellent destination. Real nice scenery, and The Shack never disappoints. No doubt Noto is back in full effect as well. I was glad to see JC bust out of the colony to run with us vagin... um, well... it was certainly nice to have him with us. The new Stradale looks and sounds outrageous!

Clyde, dont forget about also meeting Philp Baresi, and Gregory "Prugna328". Nice to see some new faces.

Great seeing everyone today. Nice to have good friends to spend with on a day like today.

I'll post my pics as soon as I figure out how to get them off my camera -- probably when I get back West later in the week...
