The supercharger is "not for street use". I doubt this is because of how powerful it is. And he's making a race car for the street? What the hell? If it's for the track why would he be installing that crazy heavy sound system? I sure hope its a poser that doesn't actually run that car too hard. I don't want anybody to get hurt.
That thing must have cost a f-ing fortune to build!!! It said the car was from Bahrain (oil money???). Regardless, I think that thing is bad as hell.
Hello guys. This is Abdulla (aka Black M5) the owner of this beast. I saw the link to your site and would like to give you an insight. First of all, the car was not built for show, track or race use. Its a street car and will remain for that purpose. Sure it has a racing version supercharger but that wont stop it from being driven on the streets as it is at the moment for tuning purposes. Why the hell a sound system ? like i mentioned its a street car so why not ? Im not bothered about the extra weight cuz i will have the best of both worlds. Crazy speed and a sound system to pump me up. Yes, i and the car are from Bahrain and no the money isnt from oil. There are people who can afford to buy the goodies and there are people who struggle to eat and that is true everywhere around the world. But a comment like its because of oil is simply not true. Its funny to hear comments like you guys from the Middle east are so rich because you can drill into your back yard for oil! Sorry but that is far from true because not individuals that own oil but Governments do. And besides, who and with what can you drill looking for oil ? And assuming that the person is rich just becuase he/she is from the middle is far from true. Yes there are Millionaires and even billionaires over here but there is also people who beg on streets struggling to make it through the day. The same could be said about the US. I hope i cleared that out because there is always a misconception regarding wealth and the middle east. And lastly, no this car is no poser and will be driven the way it is meant to be driven. And no thanks i dont need anyone getting concerned with the way it will be driven cuz the person behind its wheel is qualified enough to have his right foot buried when and how he wants to just like the way he has had his right foot buried in his Lamborghini Diablo for almost 10 years now! 900 Wheel Horse Power is what the car actually puts to the pavement. i.e measured at the wheels. 900 Horse Power generally refers to engine output which excludes drive train losses. i.e measured at the crank.
tonyh, Whp means hp measured at the wheels ie. how much the car is putting down to the ground. Normally the percentage loss from the engine to the wheels is 15-17%. For example, a stock e39 M5 pumps 400hp DIN which is 394hp SAE (SAE is the American units of measurment.) and when i took my e39 M5 (stock) when it was back in the US to the dyno (rolling road in the UK) it measured to 333 whp. Now if you divide 333 by 394 you get 84.5 % which means a 15.5% loss from the engine to the wheels. Now i believe the loss is less (in the region of 8% if im not wrong) if the car was front wheel drive with a front mounted engine or rear wheel drive with a mid/rear mounted engine. Napolis, My drivelines and subframe are new and reinforced and i also have front and rear strut braces.

No, it's the same loss. In fact a 308/328 is more like 18% because they use drop gears - more gears, more loss Beautiful job! I can't even imagine trying to drive that monster....my supercharged 308 only makes 420 rwhp and 1st gear is useless, 2nd isnt much better, I think at 900 Id probably just leave it in 5th. Watch that race version supercharger though, normally the reason they mark them race only is the gear train, bearings, or oil over heat when used for extended periods of time .but sometimes its just that they dont want to deal with emissions stuff or they think the sticker adds coolness.

so a 900hp M5 is insane..and the guy who is driving it will kill someone eh? well lets just cricify the owners of the 600+ HP enzo.. or the owners of a Mclaren F1, you can drive an Enzo or a F1 but not a supercharged beamer? come on get real
Not that I really care, but don't for a second think that the highspeed engineering that went into an enzo or f1 is in the same league as that of this M5. The M5 wasn't meant to go as fast as it will with 900 hp.
