Guys, I know many of you don't remember this but 3 years ago there was an f-chat meet/lunch/show/golf at galloway national country club about 15 minutes outside of AC. There was an f-chat turnout of about 14 people IIRC and 10 cars total. That was when the area wasn't very active and there were only 3k f-chat members. Heck AJS328 just got his FIRST 328 at the time! I spoke with Vernon VWH3rd and he would be willing to host another event if there was interest. I know 3 people are in from the start myself, Vernon, and Lamour anyone else in!? The course is one of the top courses in the country if you golf if not the food is great! It is about an hour from Philly. So, who else is in? If people can offer dates that would work I will then run them by Vernon. I think something around early spring to give you guys a chance to get the cobwebbs off the cars? Erik
Great idea Erik. It would be a pleasure to catch up with Vernon. I hear the club is very nice. Would recommend sometime in late-Spring, as would like to dust the cobwebs off of the game as much as the car. In.
haha alright anyone else from NJ in? come on guys!! The course is great, the food is good, and your only 15 min from AC. Still debating whether to go before or after Reading? Most people though around May have to much stuff going on every weekend. Erik
i've always been meaning to make one of vernons golf days. Galloway is a terrific course, and vernon is a top notch guy.

I'd be in for that guys, I'm kinda new to the Jersey Area, but i'm only about 45 minutes from AC I think. I should have my 512TR by then, I'm looking at two of them this weekend. If not, then I'll bring the Porsche, just don't banish me. I'm an O.K golfer as long as there's a beer cart! Let me know the details as you guys plan things out. -Don

Erik - your original post was two days ago. I'd suggest giving it a couple of weeks. Attendance picks up steam over time as people assess schedules, check for conflicts, get a sense of who's coming, etc. I assume you are slating this event for April / May (I would hope), so we should have plenty of time. You might also start compiling a list of people that have confirmed, for the benefit of the group.

Sounds interesting, I might make it depending on the date. So what else is there to do there other than golf?
