    Thanks folks, for all tips. The 1211 CEL code seems to follow the 1-4 lite when O2 sensor moved to the 5-8 side. Note that i'm switching by connections only. MAF physical swap made no difference.
    Also note that the 1-4 bank remains inoperative, even when starting cold after switch O2 to 5-8 side. Is that a normal correlation with a suspect O2 sensor.

    If code did not switch sides, then it shouldn't be the MAF nor the O2 sensor.

    Inoperative? As in, not running at all?

    I believe the O2 doesn't come into play when you first start in open loop mode, so if you aren't getting any power on one side, I think you've got a more fundamental issue like fuel, air, or spark.
