can some one tell me where the oil pressure reg/adj is the manual states its in the pump housing and not sure if that's internal or external? once warmed up at idle oil light flickers . manual states it maybe below 64 lbs warm at idle. 16k on car. thought of increasing press via pump adj (sping or shim) thanks
Does the analog gauge needle also read near zero pressure when the warning light flickers (not a good sign), or does the analog needle read a more reasonable 20-30-40 psi when the warning light flickers (a sign that you should just replace the warning light sender)?
yes dah! the pressure reads ok on the gauge with the light flickering at warm idle do it is the sender thanks can you pin point the sender ? on the filter housing? i think thanks
Item 59, F part number 110664: Ferrari Testarossa (1990) Parts : Table 23 - LUBRICATION -PUMPS AND OIL FILTER but I'd have a look around at the wiring in the general area for chaffing/pinching before buying anything as grounding the wire that goes to the sender causes the warning light to illuminate (and you might do better on price elsewhere).
