Hi there Up for sale is a 1992 348 ts black/black with approx 64,xxx kms (40,xxx miles). It is an original car with a clear ownership title with no accident history and is a Canadian vehicle from day 1. It has what I believe to be a tubi exhaust with no cats (I do not have the cats) and is in overall nice shape throughout. It drives strong and sounds incredible! I actually prefer it to the F355s that I had previously. Have had the vehicle 3 years now. It has been serviced here in Toronto area by our very own board member/mechanic Tom Bakowsky ( Italian car specialist, Ferrari and Lambo expert). Some recent work includes matching set of correct sized new tires all around couple yrs back (hard to find tires that are the same brand with correct sizes for front and rear. I believe less than 1,000km on them now as I enjoy driving the car on occassion) , had the climate control panel re-soldered (AC now works!), painted the front bumper (couple yrs ago due to chips and marks), fixed driver door cable as it snapped, Tom did some syncing of maf, fresh oil change, Redline fluid in gearbox plus some other stuff I cant recall. It has the car cover, toolkit, books, both keys and keyless remote fob (which works). Also, important to note that the slow down lights do work and are not on. It is in need of some work: 1 Major service should be performed as date it was last performed is unknown. I was told that it was performed about 5 years ago by a shop in Toronto, but when I called them, they knew the car had been there but could not validate the major. It has some oil sweat/minor leak from valve cover. 2 Cats not present 3 Has one small ding on drivers side which was there when I got the vehicle (probably a dent guy could fix it) and some minor light scratches around ( a good buff would do wonders) 4 Drivers seat shows some wear being black. 5 Clutch holds fine and strong and does not slip at all but engages mid to high. 6 Removable top has a couple scratches. 7 Couple wheels have very minor marks on lip (minor curb rash) 8 Gearbox is a bit notchy and doesnt really like going into second until semi-warmed up but shifts great once semi warm and onward (pretty typical of the F355s, Testarossas I have had also) 9 Front driving light has a crack on one side. I have been told this happens due to them getting pretty hot and prone to cracking. 10 Power windows are pretty slow and the switch on the drivers side which controls that passenger side upward movement is intermittent. Overall a great car, that looks stunning, sounds like an F1 car and turns heads everywhere, especially with the top off! Vehicle is located just west of Toronto in Oakville. Price is pretty firm as I have priced it at what I believe to be a fantastic deal for someone. Price is $36,000 USD or $46,500 Canadian. I can be called at 416-520-7607.

Hill Engineering, likely, but very nice they are a *&^&(*&^ to drill on there! Great looking car, GLWS!
The OEM front fog light lenses were hard to find, but now some replicas are "out there" so that's not a big deal any more. Really only the CATS missing would keep this from the US market?? I like it...
FYI - no cats can also mess up a provincial inspection, if it is required. For example I know in AB they want it as stock as possible and for there to be some cats..... at least aftermarket ones. Having said that, the least expensive good quality 348s located in Canada are going for $75k.... so I think that is an excellent price even if it needs cats. Good luck. IMO the 348 is one of the nicest looking Ferrari’s.
Thanks for all the comments. As for cats, somer performance shops can put on performance cats for around $1,000 but most guys I know run these catless. As for the Pedals, I looked into it further and yes I believe they are upgraded Hill Engineering pedals, along with the upgraded shift knob, door posts (power lock knobs), dead pedal, billet stalk ends on levers and the silver billet gauge rings. All these combined give it a nice look and feel inside!
Few more pics. Thinking to possibly sell the countach also. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
do you happen to know the short version of the process to "import" this car in to thte US? Usually you have to run it through a broker and there are additional fees on buyers end?
This is very helpful: https://www.hagerty.com/articles-videos/articles/2018/02/07/how-to-import-a-car-from-canada-to-the-us
Note this vehicle would be past the 25 year old mark, so it should make it a lot easier. Make sure it is super clean..... also, you can do it yourself. A letter from a Ferrari dealer saying it has no outstanding recalls is also a good idea. When I lived in Charlotte I had to go to the local DMV to finish off the paperwork. Make sure there are no Liens. In Ontario you can go to the licencing office and obtain a package that shows the vehicle ownership history in the province any applicable loans still on the vehicle.... or if the title is clear. The seller should supply this info along with the title. The title is not a huge piece of paper like some US states. Typically if you have your paperwork sorted, you can drive across. Suggestion, fly into Toronto, get all paperwork, drive it to Buffalo. Import it yourself and ship it from Buffalo to anywhere in the US. You do not need a broker, just talk to both border agencies to make sure you meet the Canadian export and US import requirements for that vehicle.
Also - you can get a temporary licence plate in Ontario..... or you use to about 5 years ago. Here is a link on buying and selling a car in Ontario. Note, you would not need to get an appraisal or do the emissions test, that is only required if you are going to register it in Ontario. https://www.ontario.ca/page/buy-or-sell-used-vehicle-ontario
Just an FYI, here in MD after a car is 20 years old it is no longer required to pass a safety inspections or emissions. So I don't think the lack of cats would be a problem, unless there is a different inspection that occurs as a part of the importation process.
From what I've read, Houston doesn't do emissions testing on cars over 24 years old, so the missing converters shouldn't be a problem. There were a couple of sellers here offering NOS fog lamp lenses last year. One of the headlamp film manufacturers carries pre-cut shields for the fog lamps to reduce the risk of breakage in the future. Great price on this car! GLWS.
