Ive been reading old posts about 348s with spacers Running 355 wheels. When i fitted the 355 wheels and spacers (15 front. 25 rear) i took it for alignment, it was red in all 4 corners. Im taking it back once i get the shims ordered from Hills Engineering.

I now noticed noticed that the offsets are alot different to the 348s, should i include this in my calculations?

    •348: 7.5Jx17, ET49mm
    •355: 7.5Jx18, ET46.15mm

    Rear
•348: 9Jx17, ET68mm (early), ET43mm ('93 onwards - essentially integrated a 25mm 'spacer' into the wheel hub to improve handling)
    •355: 10Jx18, ET77.9mm

My aim is handling and appearance, my concern is setting the car up for laser 4 wheel alignment. Should i try and get the car sitting like a later 348 wider rear track, using spacers but taking into account calculating the different offsets on the 355 wheels. Im thinking i should be doing all of this before Laser 4 wheel alignment, as its all computerised settings these days. (My tyre shop only has a 92 348 setting) Or does it not really matter if the car has different wheels and spacers when it comes to laser alignment?

I dont track its for street use, but would like the set up to be right.

Any input would be greatly appreciated as i cant seem to find a def answer.

    Regards

    Johnny

I'm not sure I understand the problem, spacers won't change your alignment. I would use 355 alignment settings with exception of front caster, use the 348 settings for that.
