What are the common causes for these lights to go on?

Mine were disconnected when I got the car at the rear, when plugged back in the lights come on.

Wire should go to a thermocouple or Lambda sensor which could be defective.
Converter may be defective or blocked, but I would think you'd get other symptoms. Check engine lights etc.

I have one check engine light on, but getting both catalyst lights on, if plugged in.

What is the location of the catalyst wire? I see the o2 sensor wires. How many o2 sensors are there?

    Hey y'all,

    Hi Kenco,

I don't know about a 92, but my 97.5 Roadster has 4 sensors. 2 on the 1st pair of cats ( off manafold ) and 2 in the exhaust pipe just after the 1st pair of cats. The thermocouple is there next to the second pair of 02 sensors.

This board told me about a self-check that can be performed. I again don't know if it applies to the 92. Put the key in ignition and turn to position 2 ( just before you start the car) then turn off. Do this 3 times and the check engine light will flash a number of times to tell you a fault.

My info is limited but I want to help where I can . :)

Thanks, I already read your thread, I found that my left bank is running rich. Minor, my big concern is the catalyst, if the readings are true, that would mean that there running hot, could be melted, clogged, I will find out one way or another.

Just getting into it, I have many issues to sort out, mine is kind of a lost soul happy to have a nice good home, some time and patience, and everything will get fixed, I repaird and sorted out about 5 things so far this weekend, I really hate when people abuse a wonderful car.

I believe they were disconnected because if for some reason there was an aftermarket exhaust system put in. do you have one still?

    Remove cats totally?

Re install catalyst sensors, or just leave them out, it does not seem to affect the running of the car with them out of the system.

I have a hunch the o2's are working , have to verify, but I am running rich on one bank, so it is reading it rich, and I believe that to be true.

    3 pulses on CEL.

they behave better without the cats, but o2 sensors need to be plugged in.possibly you have 1 o2 sensor thats not working properly.is the car missfiring?take the car in to a local lambo tech and have it gone through before you start putting miles on the car.once you get all things sorted out the driving exprience is awsome.
