I have seen very few of these come up for sale, but it seems each time I do they are climbing in price and still seem to sell quick. Anyone else think this might be a good car to pick up and hold onto for awhile? For a 20,000 or less mile car what should I except to pay? Anyone know of any on the market right now, can't seem to find one. Advice is much appreciated!

    Thanks!

    My $9.30 cent opinion :D

YES! Great investment, first make sure it is 'factory'.....sheer numbers/rarity gonna be good for these. Opinions vary on the aesthetics, I know I like them.

Many examples had other 'special wishes', so be on the lookout for bonus factory options.

As far as valuation, market appears to be quite healthy, so find an excellent example, perhaps 'pay up' for something REALLY nice, and it will only be a matter of time before you are golden :)

I would say 130k or more as long as low mileage. I have looked at a few cars Canepa design had for sale both 8k or less miles in perfect condition and he was asking around that figure and both cars sold within a couple weeks of going up for sale.

I have a very well done 550 Horsepower Ruf Turbo conversion that is going up for sale soon if you want to know what NOT to buy since you want a factory car.

RennSport in Texas did the majority of the work and I have detailed receipts to show what is changed in a "conversion" versus a factory car.

There is also an excellent slopenose / slant nose thread on Pelican that has lots of great info and pics.

    Thread on my conversion car:

There are differences in the fender flares, the boxed rockers and the rear"slats" also to look out for. Or just buy a car with M505 on the white sticker up front and on the COA.

I love that monster. If I saw that thing in the rear view I would simultaneously reach for the turn signal and wet myself.
