  1. Yes, not to sound like a broken record, but what a find Chris! You really have something special. I thought about your car several times last night after getting off of the computer. Love it!

It is indeed. I typically don't show my cars publicly, but may take this one to a national PCA event to be seen by the public as it was 40 years ago at the NY Auto Show. I'll post a few more pics in the near future.

Anyone know what the result was? Coys of Kensington

Nicely-presented example of a limited-edition Martini 3.0 presented at an iconic venue by a well-qualified vendor amongst rare & classic Porsche-specialized lots - should be a good result here.

Is that not the same car that was discussed earlier on this thread? From what I recall it was a non-running barn find, in need a of a full restoration. Looks like it's been cleaned up since then. Interior looks nice in the photo, but hard to tell.

    Different cars.

The Coys car is UK-registered 969 CUT with an original & well-preserved all electric-blue interior Coys of Kensington and has been with its last owner for 16 years, having been stored for most of the period, whereas the "garden-find" car is UK-registered VLR 996 S with an original white 'Fuhrman Seats' (blue & red insert cushions) interior as shown below.

It was sold for UK pounds 81000 ( Excluding commision )
From the comments during the auction the buyer was not located in UK ( Bid via telephone, from the other side of the world ! )

Chris if you bought a car with seats like that I would immediately fly to NOLA to have a chat with you! Meanwhile your taste remains decidedly impeccable.

    Thanks for that.

So Coys of Kensington sold for @ $123,000, and without knowing exactly what Coys fee structure is, lets assume the buyer paid @ $135,000 all-in.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

    I'd agree with that.

However, Dr Furhman's orthopedic seats were an expensive option that were the opposite of sporty, in fact they are more akin with the type of appointment you'd see in a luxury car. Most importantly, they were not exactly a redeeming feature, and though beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I'd warrant that there was a reason that not many Porsches are fitted with them.

Do we know of any 2015 pure 75 turbo sales?

I heard of another 75 project sold in may in holland totally apart for 150.000€

Do we have any other recent sales statistic on pure 75 turbos in driving and running condition? I didn't see any 75 turbos on auction this year either.

    thanks a lot

Ive actually followed this car since it came to light about a year ago. It was originally sold by European Collectibles for @ $150k. Since then, it has been advertised by multiple dealers in multiple listings, and despite being unsold, the asking price went up from $260k to $425k, but is now headed back down again:

$260,000 - 1976 Porsche Turbo Carrera - Used Porsche 930 for sale in Avon Lake, Ohio | autobia.com

$260,000 - Porsche 930 for Sale | Hemmings Motor News

    $260,000 - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-930-Coupe-/251973625723

$260,000 - Porsche: 930 Coupe, Used Classic Porsche

    $425,800 - Porsche : 911

    Now asking $397,500.

While it looks like a very nice car, I would be very surprised if it got near this money.

EC sold a few of turbo's last summer- all under market and all sold very quickly. Symbolic bought one and resold right away for $50k more than EC's ask.

Hi Joe, and the rest of the 3.0 Turbo afficionados, I'm sitting on the other side of the world... What a very interesting thread here, been following it for the past couple of weeks. I've been a Porsche person for the last decade at the least, got into vintage Ferrari and back to Porsche again, but particularly the 3.0 Turbo this time!! Great to see there's a STRONG CULT following of the 3.0 and agree with everyone that Joe should do a book on the 3.0 Turbo, the way Matthias Bartz has done one on the Dino!!! I'd like to donate and be a part of it!!!

    Well done Joe!!!
