No style points for complaining about weather in Hawaii- I drove two Porsche's today a Macan and a Cayenne Image Unavailable, Please Login
Does anybody know about material of fan housing, magnésium / alu ? What do we have on 3.0. I was looking to the following spécialist Traitement sur Magnésium - MORDANCAGE - renovation chrome particulier nickelage chromage noir cuivre cuivrage dorure polissage patine Image Unavailable, Please Login
The fans and housings are magnesium/ I think some of the CDI housings may be aluminum.. uhh, but not those on the early 930's. Mag as discussed.
Has it begun? Petrolicious - One Owner 15k-Mile 1977 Porsche 930 Turbo Carrera $375,000 If so, buckle up. There is nothing but air up and support down from today's prices. I have seen a lot of new posters here. I have been reading about a lot of restorations. Exciting times for these exciting cars!
January is tough here in Toronto. No snow, but the salt has been laid down and the 930 is snug and warm, but put away until the spring. Thanks to all who post, keeps the flame burning until the weather improves! Does anyone know of a source, or have in their possession and would like to sell, the metal clip that holds the headlight washer in place? I have the bumper off for cleaning up right now, and the car is missing 1 clip.
That 15k mile Turbo has been for sale since at least May of last year. I saw it in person, it is quite nice.
Another photo of the 1976 Turbo at the 1975 IAA.http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/145022422-post6631.html From a B&W photo, its difficult to see that this grand prix white Turbo has a red interior and red Fuchs wheels. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think he means he is feeling light-headed from being so high up there where the air is thin and oxygen levels are low But there is no cause for concern because these symptoms disappear when one comes back down to earth Although some side-effects may remain
Joe, You often remind me of the old the old Yahoo stock chat board guys who would try and hype up penny stocks to influence the market price. It's amazing how much time you spend posting here. It's actually quite sad...
Oh do relax, can you not take some good humor? Your premise is entirely wrong, because unlike you, in fact I often do the opposite of hyping up values, and I often suggest caution in the market. Unlike you, posting here is my job, because unlike you, I am in the car business 24/7/365. The only thing that's sad are the high-as-a-kite remarks you make about market values that have no bearing on reality
Your always right and everyone else is wrong. Your cautious when you don't own a car or when your sold through a specific car. Your not when you own a car and when your marketing cars. You should revise your used car business name to Joe Hyped up Classics.
Awww sounds like Sour Grapes now something you'll relate to Just because I call you out for your continuous market-talk BS is no need to get all upset, you ought to expect it. You are an armchair commentator talking about the market with a professional Perhaps if you read between the lines you'd learn the difference between hype & reality.
Your not worth the time to reply to. Go back to hyping some other car or overcharging someone with too much money to care.
I realize you don't like to confuse any discussion with real facts, but here are a few. I started this thread in 2011. You only rolled up in 2015 as a Johnny-Come-Lately when prices started to spike, looking for multiple cars to buy True, no? Enough said
Dude, you sell used cars for a living which you hype the **** out of. Enough said. Easy on the emoticons.
What happened to me not being worth the time to reply to just 2 posts ago? For my part, what I do is established, and I sometimes deal with the same used-cars you apparently revere and talk the market up on. Ive been around a long time, and I simply wanted to paint a picture of your motives. I think Ive accomplished that. No more Sour Grapes now. Peace.
No sour grapes here. Quite on the contrary. It's obvious you have been around a along time. Your old and you have have posted more than 10 times a day for 10 years in a row. Now you better get back to your hype!
There is no need for me or anyone else to hype 930s, we leave it all to you!! I on the other hand am renowned for often being the lone voice of reason suggesting responsible caution in the marketplace - check my posts on this in multiple threads. Posting is my job, and I love my job, as you can see I certainly don't feel old and I don't think anyone who knows me would describe me as such but, your Sour Grapes are understandable. Seriously, my point of contention is, since you showed up here in the 930 thread as a JCL in 2015 purchasing multiples of the same thing, anyone watching can see that you are a Speculator, so you can drop the enthusiast-collector pretense, its lost on anyone who has perception. For my part, I can spot a Speculator from a country mile away Every post you make that is market-related is based on nothing but hot air, or the effects of thin air which is hardly surprising since you apparently don't know the difference between a 76 and a 77, that's the difference between an armchair commentator and a professional. All one has to do is read your posts, they speak for themselves.
Come on Joe, you had some very nice 3.0 Turbo's in the past, you just sold them 100.000 dollar too soon. We all did in the past with several cars but we got over it. Maybe you should too instead of trying to make things the way they were. This is site for enthousiasts, whatever the motives are for people postingor just visiting here. But every time you show up the fun seems to disappear a little bit. Please try and use your wealth of knowledge in a constructive way. Erik
Seven Turbo Carreras were entered at the 1977 San Diego Porsche Parade. The Class J Concours winner was Dan Patterson’s white Turbo and a period photo shows a white finish underneath the driver’s rear fender. However, since this was a concours winner, much of the original finish on the chassis and underneath the fenders may have been over-detailed (cleaned and stripped) without any remaining black paint or protective wax substance – just like the Porsche concours judges would like to see. Go away Joe. There is no money here for you to make. Go back to Lambo thread you spam day and night and hype up for overpriced sales.
