Hello, I am in the process of reviewing the insurance value of my 1975, the Tonbac Metallic car. Now I have an issue about the correct valuation for insurance. The insurance company is not accepting to start from what I paid the car and add the invoiced cost by Porsche for restoration. Given the above I went to one of the most reputable brokers and appraisal company for historic cars... I will not name, but most of you will for sure be familiar with them as they are considered a kind of authority in Europe. Now the appraisal has come in at 275.000 euros, that is less than the cost I have sustained. I understand that the market is soft now, but it looks a little on the low side to me: as I see the only 1975 currently publicly for sale in Europe being advertised for 240.000 euros as a restoration project. We know that a full restoration (bare metal) will be difficult to be done at high standards for less then 100.000. Any opinion would be appreciated. Thanks
...100.000 makes only sense to me, if a lot of parts are missing and the body needs to be redone. If this ist not the case, I would estimate the cost to be substantially lower. Gesendet von meinem Redmi 5 Plus mit Tapatalk
French model maker Solido made an orange 1/43 scale 1975 Turbo model with white Porsche side script (note the brochure's chrome manual mirror). Ryan's book list eight Porsche 1975 Turbos painted orange (6 Orange and 2 Continental Orange). Only 9305700051 had Porsche side stripe (albeit black vs. white). '75 #0051 was also fitted with black hood safety stripes - would be a stunning car to see today! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Beautiful photos of '75 Turbo, 9305700274. I shot some of those photos. Is this the car first owned by my friend Fred Veitch from Colorado Springs? Frank [email protected]
I shot that photo, right next door to Grady Clay's Porsche shop, Rennenhaus, in Denver. That's the car's first owner, Fred Veitch, who still lives in Colorado Springs and does the Pikes Peak Hillclimb with David Donner. We came up with the saying, "You can sleep in your Porsche, but you can't drive your house."
Hi Frank - yes, I’ve posted quite a few photos of the Turbo first owned by Fred Veitch…many with your great photography. Rich
“Meet the Turbo” - April 1976 Uber Alles newsletter, Western Region, Porsche Club of America. Although it appears to be a grand prix white, perhaps it is actually silver metallic...a ’76 Turbo Carrera fitted w/ Turbo graphics, sunroof, and Pirelli CN36 tires. If so, this maybe 9306800034 or 9306800039 (both delivered to Import Motors). An interesting photo of a ’76 Turbo Carrera in the Mar 1976 issue of Uber Alles. If this Turbo Carrera was delivered to Import Motors, perhaps it is chassis # 9306800147, emerald green metallic fitted with no factory options. I'm not sure why it has a different color rear Fuchs wheel?? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Silver Metallic 1976 Turbo Carrera, chassis # 9306800477. Originally delivered with a rare stone guard delete (391); turbo graphics and tartan seat inserts appear to be fitted after delivery. A few other mods (1977+ air cleaner, boost gauge, & steering wheel) but otherwise looks original. No affiliation. http://degarmoltd.com/inventory/1976-porsche-930-turbo/ Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

No. We don't delete posts or data that have been up for months. And especially not if doing so may circumvent legalities.
BHCC does not post car chassis #'s but I enlarged one of their photos that depicted the U.S. grey market plate and believed it was 9307700416. This could be my bad with an incorrect chassis # since the image is not high-res. If your chassis # is different, consider my previous posting has an incorrect chassis #. Hope this helps.
