Interesting artwork on this early Porsche Turbo 1/20 scale Eidai model kit. Fitted with Porsche door script, Porsche windshield decal, 930 Turbo hood safety stripes, and body pin striping. Could be inspired by Mitsuwa ’75 Turbo, 93057000051…yet to be unearthed. Image Unavailable, Please Login
You are the supreme porschephile. We are lucky to have you. Truly passionate about the 930. There are no sources of correct documentation. Especially for the 1970s 930s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
I think the first owner was inspired by the Silver Paris car, which has these options only in white stickers/or paint Silver car, black Turbo stripe.gold Porsche door stripe,i think thats the COA combination
I have a 1975 930/50 motor I am currently rebuilding. when I purchased the cobbled together motor, it had been updated to the pressure fed oil lines. the date codes on the aluminum chain boxes were 1984, so obviously these chain boxes are not original to the motor. The question is. What are the correct chain boxes for this particular motor? I was planning on using a super pair of the magnesium boxes but I want to be sure. Is it possible the factory used Mag boxes on these early motors? If it helps, this motor is one of the first 100 1975 930 engines. Also, amongst those that have the early Garrett wastegates, it would be nice to know who in the registry has the garrett to get a better idea of exactly what engine number the switch was made to the porsche wastegate. some would say its about the first 100 motors but there should be more clarity. Unless I missed it. I do not believe this is stated in the 3.0 turbo book.
Ciao qereti, my engine is #165 and it is featured in Ryan's book: it does have a Garret wastegate. Hope this data point helps.
Hi all, Was this door seal installed on all 930's or did it appear at a later stage. View attachment 1105081
Thanks...any comments from those with the 75 and 76 models. I noted on the design 911 site (see link below) that the part number is only for 77-. Just wondering if this is true as the wide noise in my car makes me wonder it a rubber seal may be missing. https://www.design911.com/pages/diagramsBrowser.aspx?categoryID=8&diagramID=1994
My North American 77 Turbo Carrera came with the Gold colored "Turbo Driver's Manual '77 and Maintenance Record" booklet. Which is the booklet for rest-of-world English speaking countries and not North America. For North America the two green covered booklets "911s Turbo Carrera Owner's Manual Model '77" and "911S turbo Carrera Warranty & Maintenance Model '77" are correct (according to Ryan's book). Is there anyone out there with the 'mirror' situation that might be interest in a trade? My booklet is in good condition and has zero entries (also no VIN etc.). Anyone with a spare set - I might be interested in buying in case an exchange proves not feasible.
This nice restoration candidate in a nice color sold for $140,000: https://rmsothebys.com/en/auctions/am19/amelia-island/lots/r0056-1976-porsche-911-turbo-carrera/735464
The Magenta ’74 Carrera on pcarmarket.com prompted me to check out the number of 3-liter Turbos that left the factory in this color. https://www.pcarmarket.com/auction/1974-911-euro-carrera/ According to Ryan’s book, only 6 Magenta 3-liter Turbos were made, all RoW 1976 model year. No dealer or customer in North America was bold enough to order a Turbo in this stunning IROC color. Early photos of lime green Porsche factory 1975 Turbo, 9305700015. Very rare 3-liter Turbo color - this was the only lime green 1975 Turbo and only 3, 1976 Turbos were delivered in this color. Of the 3 ‘76s, a sole Turbo Carrera, 9306800260 was boldly ordered in this IROC lime green color (w/ black Turbo graphics to boot). ’75 #0015 was later converted to the ONS safety car. My absolute favorite color! If I were ordering a 930 in ‘76 #260 would be the exact color/options I would choose. I wonder if 9306800260 is a survivor? I know it was still around in the early 2000’s.
I'm not sure if the photo of this Magenta ’76 Turbo has already been posted (not sure why it has '75-style acorn nuts on the wipers). If the passenger mirror is original, it should be 9306700293. Photos of the other Magenta ’76 posted on this thread should be 9306700187 as it was the only 1 of 3 without air conditioning. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Beautiful and very early car! I am not sure the porsche side stripe was in the original specification ... Quite similar to #163 sold in New York in 2015. While on the subject of early 1975: I have a similar car but in 1 of 1 paint to sample and exclusive interior for sale (not advertised anywere) ...If anybody is interested just PM me for details.
