GV and lopez, that would be about the strength of it! Fit right in with the rest of USF1 BS. Shame all these other new teams are signing current experience drivers, sponsors and showing pics/videos of real parts, how can they be SO WRONG! PeeWee will certainly have that smirk in full when they come out of the depths of their skunkworks........"we will do it different/better/cheaper/sneakier/faster/slower/openly/fan friendly than the other teams".
Sorry, but the Brawn GP situation was radically different: - they had an experienced team with defined processes where everybody knew what to do - they had a complete infrastructure to build the car back at the factory - they had a complete chassis The only thing Brawn GP and USF1 had in common at this very moment (mid December): Apparently no engine and no money. With the arrangement with Honda came the money and soon thereafter the engine from Mercedes. Even if USF1 found a sponsor today, they would still be lacking the list from above (the engine would be no problem).
To which I would add a full complement of experienced race support personnel, logistics, equipment, tools, etc.
I don't really care either way. Having a US team isn't going to get a USGP back on the calendar, so IMO it is useless to us. I don't even watch American coverage of F1. I'd rather wait and download the races from the UK and be late to any discussions on the races than watch even one second of the vacuous, asinine, insipid, retarded and frankly insulting commentary offered by SpeedTV. I know how a f**king wing works Bob, Steve and David... STFU. One request... can someone give me a quick summary on the whole toaster thing?
A toaster is a mechanical device (usually electric) used to brown bread (and other baked products) on both sides at once.
Start here and go through each day and you will understand the toaster reference. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJTynvakZok&feature=related Day 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nwcZR86pK3Y&feature=related Day 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMh3qu5GtZA&feature=related Day 3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QB6eJluXEbs&feature=related Day 4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1j_cYbPafoY&feature=related Day 5 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0WZSTijeZM&feature=related Day 6 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-E7KSEZhp0&feature=related Day 7 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JAD9uD_fBhY&feature=related Epilogue
OH! I've got one of them... but its not electric and only does one side at a time... I call it "the bread burner"... Image Unavailable, Please Login
From the looks of it, any USF1 chassis that gets completed will not be of "good old American Carbon Fiber" either. http://ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=267775
With apologies to Sam Spade PI, USF1 chassis will be constructed out of "the stuff that dreams are made of".
You're not alone. I was asking a Euro journalist, whom I know and he said they were all busy watching the Youtube videos. That was his only comment to all things BSF1...
Its pretty bad when Stefan F1, a team with no grid spot, is closer to having a car ready than one that does...
At the risk of sounding like a broken record (an analogy that is probably unknown to most of you CD listening kids), you may feel prit-tee silly when they roll that ultra sweet 2010 USF1 race car out of the double-top secret ultra-state-of-the-art underground USF1 skunk works. Yes siree.
