I think this is water temp sensor fault on bank 5-8. Is this what tells ecu the fuel mixture? Car seems to run faultless. Is the sensor in the intake?
It tells the ECU when the engine is up to temp. If bad the bank will typically run rich. There is one for each bank on a 2.7 in the water manifold located in front of the oil filter, to the left and right. Bosch part 0280130026, NAPA ECH TS6152
Thanks. I'm going to change it although it was replaced last year during the engine rebuild. I thought that bank might be rich. I could hear some popping in the exhaust when cold the last few weeks.
If it's throwing a code, it's bad or the connections are bad. You can test by measuring the impedance when cold (about 2k ohms) and operating temp (about 200 ohms) but these things fail intermittently so testing can be misleading. They are cheap enough, but a pain to replace since you have to partially drain the cooling system.
Do you think it could effect my idle? When driving for awhile, the idle will jump to 1400 from 1000. I thought it was an IAC valve until the code should up today
On the 360 code list, it's "intake air temperature circuit (Bank 2)" "Low Input (max) 1. Check the wiring Air flow meter 2. Ta = (30~60C) in hot condition" Not sure what they mean by Ta. Normal summer temperatures here go over 30C all the time.
Guy's, Read the title. It's a 95, 2.7, code 1112. Coolant temp sensor. Bob, No, I would not expect it to effect the idle as you indicate. But stranger things have happened.
Only for Bosch 2.7 ECU and they are OBD1 codes. Not as many and not as useful. 96 on, they go OBD2 which can be a lot more detailed.
