you need to try to reset the window. you do this from the drivers door.

close the door. put the key in the lock and turn to the unlock position and hold it there. after a few seconds, the windows will go down. when they reach the bottom, turn the key to the door locked position and keep it held there. both windows will go up. when they reach the top, remove the key and try the door. the window drop should work.

In the door jam is the striker. Incorperated in this stricker is a switch which operates the window lowering function. Check to see if this switch isn't stuck in closed postion. If you find it stuck..try and pop it out with a small pick..careful not to damage it of course. Look there first...and of course check all fuses.

 

FYI,

there are actually a number of switches that affect the window operation two of which are located on the inner and outer door handle. those are the first switches that activate the window drop operation.

another note: there is no recall for the windows. Recalls are only for safety related items. It may possibly been repaired under warranty at one time, but not as a recall.
