I think I have a bad accumulator. I can hear the pump run but my pedal is rock hard. I know thee is talk in the archive that accumulators from GM will fit. Does anybody know for sure what part number will fit?

Bob, the pump will run to prime the accumulator. It will cycle on as needed. Why do you think it's bad?

    I will defer to Dave.

But I had lights and codes. I replaced my accumulator with a Jaguar XJS part from early 90’s that used same brake system. I did not have hard pedal, but cycled a lot and code led to accumulator.

I had bought the Jag accumulator suggested by dallascarnut. It worked. Somewhere in one of the threads is the ebay link to it. You can also order it from a Jag dealer. It's not cheap. $350+ comes to mind. Don't buy from Superformance as it's the wrong size and only one they had listed. They did take mine back which was nice.
I have my original which I believe is ok if you want to try it.

Well, what happened??? Other than it's been so wet here in NNJ that you can't take the car out to enjoy.

When I got back and tried the brakes, I had normal travel and feel. That rock hard feel with no initial travel was gone.
Something was stuck, pump was not working for that startup ? Glad it is working and hope it does not come back.
I have had my car for 18 years and the brake and abs light have always been slow to go off, maybe 10 secs but this was the first time I ever felt that temporary problem. Thanks for the offer to use your parts.
