No 95 diablo in "immaculate" condition is worth only 80G's. I dont think ive ever seen that color so its probably been resprayed. Its definitely been driven. Looks decent though thats for sure.

Thats what I'm thinking. I used to live in Colorado and knew just about every Lamborghini owner in the state and didn't know of any Blue Lamborghini's other than the Blue Countach down in the Springs which was likely to be a kit and a Blue gallardo. This had to be something very recent!

    LOL, yep, a CHEAP one!

Actually, David, I might swing by it on the way up...it is in Lakewood after all. However, it'd be about the time of C&C. Look for an email soon.

Went to see this car on Saturday Morning since the weather was bad. They caolor is actually very nice and I am sure when it was done it was bright. The detail work to ensure everything was done properly was there, but the car had a fair number of scuffs and scratches. The leather was in great shape, the stereo had been replaced with a very nice system. It was jumping around on idle... bouncing from about 900 then to about 1500. It would stay there then drop then bounce up.

There was also a '91 TR and a Delorean (sp?) The TR was in great shape. I still am not a big fan of the gauges in the TR. The leather, paint and carpets were great... even better than the Diablo.

The car is sold as is the TR... it is supposed to get on a trailer tomorrow, but I am not sure if this was a ploy to get Chad to bite.

Oh, at the dealer it was at, I'm sure it was. But, I didn't. Even if it were in the budget right now, I still would have walked away from this one.

Yes, nice color, but not original, still not my cuppa joe.

    Needs:
    Right front wheel bearing
Crack left exhaust header, throwing code
    Oil leak (where????????)
    Clutch life unknown
    Door rubbers
    Major tidy up
Resolution of rear boot not releasing

    NO RECORDS

Basically amounted to a fair car that needed an engine out. NOT an 80k car, not even a 70k car, which I think is what he was fishing for. If I were a serious buyer in the DIABLO market, I'd probably have stuck 60k out there.

I kind of like cars like this. If they can bring the price down to below 50k. Id do one badass engine swap to it! I've been tryin to find me a Diablo project with a blown motor or bad service so I can go over it and mod it out.

You'd be better off buying a kit car than wrecking a Diablo.

I don't think that is really wrecking a diablo if the motor is already shot, For what it would cost to replace the drivetrain with fresh lambo parts i think mabe a nice viper drivetrain or new corvette drivetrain would make a cool swap with tons of hp cheaper parts and probably more reliable.I know there is a countash up here with a small block chev motor and i have no problem with that but i bet there are lots of people on this board that would.

I cant imagine many lambo faithful would be too keen on an engine swapped car. There is the Katrina Diablo SV running around somewhere that has a Chevy big block V8 in it or something like that. Its widely considered crap.

If you buy the cars, you have some sort of obligation to the marque to not bastardize them. Yeah I get it's the persons own money and parts aren't cheap. You take the motor you now have a kit car. The motor is the soul of the car. A kit car with a Lambo motor and tranny is more "Lambo" than a Diablo with a chevy motor and tranny.

Car is now for sale at Toyota-Scion Of Deerfield Beach, Fl. Certainly appears to be a nice car-currently getting a load of work done by the dealership at an exotic car repair facility.
The folks there did E-Mail me some pics of the work in progress. As I understand it, car is owned by a senior management person, who is into exotics and racing. I think it was driven from Colorado just after purchase in May to Florida and put up for sale.
As a plug to the nice folks there, the contact is Talbott Summers. The car is listed on Auto Trader for $65,000.00 and a free carfax comes with the ad.
It is not my favorite color, or I would be all over it, now that at least some of the work is being done. Could be a real sleeper and good value for a driver.
And I have absolutely no connection to the car, it's owner, the dealership or Mr. Summers! Was treated very well and think it would be nice to see if one of you guys has a further interest.

I can confirm that the dealer stated that the car was going to Boca with the Testarossa (near Deerfield), but I had been under the impression that they were going to a private party (though not explicitly stated). I figured 65k was about right. Funny that it is being advertised for that amount now. :)

I am highly considering buying this, have been in touch with talbott, but not sure I want to send a $5000 deposit with no pictures or confirmations of work done

This car sounds like a pretty good deal! For the Toyota-Scion dealer to do some work to it and then sell it at $65K, they must've gotten one helluva deal on it! Even though it needs a few other items.......at the price, I think it's still a good buy!

fill-up: Ask those guys to send you some pics. They should have no problem since they sent some to chatham33. Let us know how it works out!

Alex-pics have been sent. Please, send NO funds and agree on a price without a FULL PPI!!! This is a very good car dealer selling this item-they sell cars every day all day. They know what they have and what's it worth. They are giving NOTHING away. Do not be fooled comparing this car to those very high priced dealer
inflated Diablos and think it is bargain city. The Lambo market is very much puffed, in my very humble opinion, because most Lambos are owned and for sale by the "Dealer Club". Not knocking anybody-just saying again, in my opinion, the market is skewed by high exotic dealer markups. Might certainly be worth every penny, but not a sound comparison here. I think, if not careful, you could quickly own a $100K Diablo, when all is said and done.
OK, now everyone can rip me a new one, but that's my observation of the marketplace.

What are you trying to say? In one sentence it sounds like you are saying it is underpriced as may be junk that he has to put a lot of money into. In the other sentence you ate saying that the market is priced too high on these cars.

    Please restate your opinion.
