    All of a sudden, I'm getting erratic behavior from my oil temp gauge. It will climb slowly, and then suddenly will start wavering from the 210 mark down a couple of marks on the gauge, then up to 210, then down a mark, and back and forth...sometimes almost fluttering. Now I know the temp isn't fluctuating that quickly, so what are my possible sources of failure? It was working fine, and now this erratic movement. Oil thermostat? Oil temp sensor? What should I check first? Anyone else have this problem?

    Just hit 10100 miles...8650 miles when I bought it and I've put 1500 on it in three months.

    I had the same problem with my 360 and many others. It has to be the oil sending temprature unit.
