My favorite era the 964 highest mileage 911 I have seen to date, 521,000 miles. http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/automobiles-sale/229012-1990-porsche-911-andial-3-8l-lsd-ruf-suspension-etc.html
sounds like the old tale about the "favorite axe that's had two axe heads and three handles replaced" still, pretty impressive. not sure $16k is reasonable though. also, I vote those rims as the worst wheel design in Porsche history.
+1000. They look as bad as they did 20 years ago. I wonder if the Porsche designer still has a job who thought those things would look better than an updated Fuch. Always nice to see a Porsche with half a million miles.
I don't think they are that bad. They would look better on a 944 or 928. My vote for worst Porsche wheel design would be these.. the skinny phone dials on the 928. Image Unavailable, Please Login
914-924 wheels not very pretty. http://germancarsforsaleblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/100-mile-1981-Porsche-924-S-Wheel.jpg http://bringatrailer.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/09/1973_Porsche_914_Orange_Survivor_For_Sale_Rear_1.jpg
I'd disagree. I find them simple, reasonably light, and durable. My 964 would be slogging through the snow wearing a set of those & snow tires right now if it weren't for the fact the stupid starter just died & I don't feel like spending 4 hours under a car in the freezing cold replacing the darn thing... Now I'm stuck using the Z3 for snow duty & getting strange looks from folks in their Subarus.
It's not uncommon for a 911 to have 100,000+ miles, or even 200,000+ miles. How many Ferraris have had more that 100,000 miles? Maybe 30 ever?
there are probably 30 360's with over 100k miles. and there's a big difference between 200k and 500k, the herd gets pretty thin at those levels.
