Gentlemen: Just finishing up the spring tune-up including all fluids. Noticed my power steering fluid, measured hot, is down a bit. I would like to top it up but unable to find a product recommended for the engine other than what is in the manual. What are you guys using please?

Also, plugs, NGK R PMR7A or 8A, a little cooler? Lastly, having difficulty getting the boot off the plugs. There is a beige plastic piece over the top of the plug with a wire across the top, similar to an electrical coupling to stop it from loosening. I have pulled quite hard to try to remove the fitting but unable to move it. I am thinking the small wire has to be pulled up or pushed off to remove the tension on the top of the plug? Alternatively, they may just have a "heavy duty" seal on the plug for moisture protection.

    Thoughts on the above appreciated.

    Gary

    Hi Gary,
I did not get your picture via email, perhaps you can post it here? The wire and plug extension does not sound like the oem set up....but a picture would help us to confirm it.

    Gary,
I have a 99 355 and just replaced my plugs. There was no wire holding it in place, yes they are a little tight. Maybe you have some aftermarket setup. Like f355spider said a pic would help.

Brought to my attention by a very knowledgable 355 owner, Dave Handa. I am looking at the fuel injectors not the ignition wires. I apologize for the poor post and lack of attention. I am capable of much more.
