    Funny thing I just noticed.

The User Manual gives a different dimension for the front tires depending on the brand.

255/40 for bridgestone, Pirelli and GoodYear.

    235/45 for Michelin.

    Why?

Not sure if this may be the reason, but I learned from purchasing many different race tires over the years that a given width (i.e. "255") may not be the same across tire manufacturers... perhaps Michelin is conservative in their width for the tire model Ferrari evaluated?

    Cheers,

    Ruben

Those are equivalent diameter tires, 255/40 18s are ~26.03" in diameter and 235/45 18s are ~26.33". At that time Michelin did not make a 255/40 18, most likely, or Ferrari would have used them. Tire sizes for Ferraris were often driven by Porsche sizes, since so many more were sold.
