So obviously the car won't start.... that looks very much like where the engine ecu fits in..... interesting stuff!!!

As Andy said, the Motronic ECU is behind the passenger seat on a LHD car. The alarm and immobilizer is behind the driver's seat on a LHD car. The F1 ECU is also behind the driver's seat on a LHD (it's a bit higher up)

Not sure if they stay in the same locations on a RHD car?

Your photo looks like the immobilizer and alarm (guessing as I don't see the ECU connector)

The other plugs are for the SD

What market is this car for?

There should be more big plugs.

There is no harness even there for the motronic nor a hole in the firewall.

Looks like someone has installed insulation and covered the hole for the harness from the engine bay.

First is to undo their work and put the car back to what it was prior to the children getting at it.

    I see five leads:

    1. Grey wires for a speaker?
    2. Large white connector block
    3. Small white connector block
    4. Black connector facing towards front of car
    5. Black connector facing upwards

None of them are SD connections. Wrong ends.

None are for the ECU for the car. It has a very large clamp down connector.

I do not recall all the leads on my car where it connects to the immobilzer and F1 TCU, but that looks more what i would expect to see behind the drivers seat and not the passenger seat.

Need more details about this car...is it a Euro spec machine?

Based on your posts, I suspect this is a parts car or salvage vehicle. Correct?

I am at work and trying to run this from memory. What is the black box next to the ECU? I forgot about that one.

The black box is for F1 clutch control. 2 white plugs go to engine harness. Black plug goes to dash and attaches to ALDL plug on Motronic harness.

Thanks, Brian. Is the how the SD is connected (by disconnecting the ALDL and connecting the SD to the Motronic harness side?)

I have a euro 355 GTS F1 LH drive, your car should be the same as mine.

So passenger seat is on the RH side and my engine ECU is in that spot.
