Sorry to bump an old thread, but I just saw this car in November 2015 sitting outside of a run down looking body shop in Merriam, KS. The driver side fender was full of bondo. I just found this thread from Googling the VIN. I managed to snag a couple of photos but got shooed away pretty quickly.
Doesn't look at the first glance as an big issue. Hope, it's back on the road again.... Saluti, Jürgen
Sorry, didn't subscribe to this thread so I didn't see these responses. It was behind a very run-down looking body shop. Not really the type of place I expected to see a 550 Maranello. I snagged these photos, and a man came out and started speaking in Spanish and making shooing motions with his hands, so I disappeared. I'm in Omaha, the car is (was?) in Kansas City. The original thread is from 2012,... resurrected in 2016,... and now again 2020. For sale link please...
It is in a private facebook group. I will ask if he is putting out there yet. I found this thread by googling the VIN trying to know more about the wreck.

The body damage doesn't look that bad. Hood gaps on both sides before the "repairs" appear OK. The repairs may be questionable, but that could be remedied with replacement fender and maybe driver door. I'd look into why the front left wheel was missing in the Copart pictures and if that's indicative of possibly more frame damage sustained through the wheel than the apparent body damage shows.
Drivers front wheel appears to be too far back in the wheel opening. Not centered. Poor alignment of the bumper cover to the fender as well. Wonder if it truly has a clean title?
