98 diablo sv battery fob change

Greetings gentlemen

the battery on my key fob was running a bit low judging by the fading red lights on it.

Opened it up,simple allen key in the back,standard looking battery inside.

Swapped it over.Lights on when pressing fob,all looking fine.

Unfortuantely,car now wont unlock,or deactivate immobiliser.

Should have known it wouldn't be that simple,but hey

Its not a watch battery type with complicated sealed in workings as the one on the lamboweb repairs page.

Any owners have any tips?Am guessing the battery runs out every few years,so I think someone must have been in the same situation.

yeah standard Med fob.

its just a regular type battery with positive at one end and negative at the other.
Pretty much like this,an inch or less long

I think I must have it in the right way or the lights wouldnt come on when I press.

Its definitely a MED fob and system,apologies I dont have the keys on me so cant post a pic.
