Just checked the autocheck report. Oh boy, I have not seen a car get salvaged so many times This is the second and possibly the third time this vehicle is being totaled. Its funny how the registration records specify the salvage titles. It may very well be the second time, makes no difference, it is what it is. The mileage seems to be 27K and not 17K by autocheck.com. The only nice thing is that its a CA car all its life. Hope this helps not to overpay on it for those interested.
This is indeed a parts car to say the least. Fellow members, whoever thought paying over 15-17K for this car, you may thank me later after reading the inspection report. If you look at the driver door inside picture, notice the handle and the opening lever missing. Its the same for the passenger side, even worst, is missing the whole 4 inch wide panel that runs across from the front to the back. I found studio rental receipts inside. This was a studio rental and people drove the crap out of this car. Previous body work? Its been painted at least four (4) times. The front twice, the rear once left front once and this will be the 5th time if you were to fix it. The front right inner structure needs to be replaced where the headlight mounts and possibly the right frame in the front. The interior is piece of s*****t even for a 27K mile car. The driver seat is 4 shades darker than the passenger seat although the pass seat is not clean to compare anything to. Pass airbag is questionable. Seems like its permanent fix and there may not be a bag inside. It stick ahlf an inch out of its place. There is just too much in question. Hope this helps
Interesting; I wondered why the airbag didn't inflate; sure looks like enough of a head-on impact. That said, that doesn't explain why the driver's airbag didn't inflate so maybe I'm wrong. Damn shame such a gorgeous car lived a such a rough life...RIPs.
The speedos start there. Just like the rpm "rests" at 500rpm. That needle bounced to the opposite side of the resting pin!
I have seen this car with my own eyes and believe me, this is bad. Not the wreck itself but the whole condition of the car. When I say bad, below is what I mean This is a roadkill that has been on the side of the road and no one cared to call the humane society This is a child the parents left alone at home since they could not care for her and left the Country I saw the porn star comment above and yes, porn starts are in better shape than this car. This is the last surviving pinto that has not been rearended yet Oooops, did I go too far on this one ?
