    Its someone else's mess you may be getting into. First of all, its a NY salvage certificate and I know the salvage exotics coming out of NY. I bit the dust once from Copart four years ago. Secondly, if you look at the sales status, it says "On minimum bid." This means that this is not an insurance totaled vehicle but a private persons property trying to get rid of it. Third, actual insurance totaled vehicles do not appear on the auction page with a sale date only a week later. They tend to have longer wait time before the sale date.
    Just be careful what you may get into.

    Copart is notorious for "doctoring" cars, I have seen and heard terrible things - spray painted interiors and shoddy repairs just so they look good in pics...

    Just to clarify, I am not a potential buyer for this car.

    For curiosity's sake I browse Coparts' "exotics" section and usually post any F and L cars I come across. I do this as FYI and as a historical record for the VIN in the event someone here happens to consider the car in its post-Copart life. Of course the latter assumes the search function is used...and it works. :D
