I've read through the F1 clutch posts but haven't found the answer specifically for the early cars like my 99. Since there is no PIS adjustment after replacing the clutch and the computer measures how far the clutch moved to determine thickness does a 99 have to get an SD2 read before replacing the clutch? Does it have to get an SD2 adjust after the clutch is replaced? If so what are the values used for?

Appreciate your help on this one forum buddies.

i was told that on the leonardo computer you can set the point of slip on a 99. I found this out today when I swapped my TCU out for a CS TCU.

I think it would need a PIS adjustment, but the PIS can be manually adjusted on a 99, which is why you don't necessarily need an SD2 or Leonardo for a 99 to get proper function.

But my understanding is that you would still need an SD2/Leonardo to reset clutch life back to 100% so you can keep track of how much it has worn in the future.
