Is there a reason why I should stay away from a 99 360, looks like the the 99s are in the price range that I am looking for. I am trying to stay under $115k (Price need to include sales tax 8.25%) I know that there is the exhaust vario timing thing that needs to be replaced, I am not worry about the engine craddle crack (I can TIG weld), I don't need to worry about the F1 because I want a manual. What other issues are there with the 99s beside that? TIA
I bought a one owner 99 360...........all the issues were dealt with and i did all the updates. Love the car. Dont let it stop you from buying as long as everythin has been taken care off.
99,s are great cars and slightly faster then other years. They have no pre cats and something with the air injection system. Just make sure the updates have been done. 1.Cam variators 2.Flywheel,added an extra bolt I think 3. Clutch update in F1 cars 4. 30K service done My car also had the brake light ecu reflash,on some 99,s the brake light would not light up if the brake fliud was low. I think that is all, I will look at my reciepts again. Don't let peaple talk you out of a 99,they are great cars and slightly better sound and performance, and cheaper!!
I sold a 99 - F1 360 with 5,000 miles, 7 months ago for around $110,000. The car was perfect and if the buyer reads this (I don't want to speak for him), he can tell you his story. Buy a 1999 for all the reasons stated and the value you will receive. Best
