99 360 tranny problem/question

ok here is the question at hand. Upshifting (f1) is ok (1-6) but it is the down part that has me stumped! 6-5 ok, 5-4 ok, 4-3 ok, its when you go from 3-2 that it makes a not so much as a clung sound but more like, i dont know, a scratching sound. Now keep in mind that the compression on the whole is great, changed the gear oil too and seem to make it a little better, blead the whole system, did everything to do other than take the tranny out! What do you think it could be? 91% clutch life! Please help if you can. Thanks

 

Presumably you refer to 91% remaining clutch life?

Assuming that's the case I think you probably need to take it to someone with experience and the right equipment for setting up the clutch correctly.

Perhaps the gearbox is damaged also. Again, someone with experience should be able to help you out.
