I have the old 993 2WD Targa on Michelin Pilot Sports now, and they are down too far on wear to make the trip up to the Colorado cabin this fall.

Since this will likely involve some snow, I was thinking about some all weather types. Hans Hoffman at our sponsor RUF Auto Center suggested that perhaps another set of Pilot Sports would be about as good as any so-called all weather type; or, there are some far less expensive Japanese brands. I have had both Bridgestones and Khumos on this car in the past but the Michelins have proved to be better balanced, quieter, and good in the rain.

Anybody have any experience with some all-seasons in a 993?

For my 997, I just ordered the A/S Bridgestone Potenzas; STL doesn't get enough snow to bother with full snow tires. once installed I'll report back.

might also take a look at the Pirelli Sottozero's (although I'm not a fan of Pirellis)
