Im thinking of getting an 08' 997 TT. Do any of you have one or have had some time behind the wheel of one? I think I would lean towards a Cabriolet. Im also torn between the 6 speed and the Tip. How is the new Tip S compared with the older version. I know the PDK tranny is on it's way but it will be at least 2-3 yrs before it ends up in a Turbo. What are your thoughts?

Have not driven a 997TT but I have a 996TT and I love it, granted it doesnt feel & look as exotic as the ferrari or Lambo's... but its a great car, does everything well... and it doesnt break... and no big service's needed.. thats the only thing I dont like about the Ferrari.. every few years, belts.. or something...

I will give you a great deal on a 2001 996 TT with only 27K miles on it and 2 yrs left on the bumper to bumper warranty. Cobalt blue/gray with full carbon fiber package for $60K

The tiptronic is a slow shifting automatic. It eats power and it weighs the car down.

The manual on the Porsche is so simple and smooth that you might as well have it; you barely notice that you're using it!

I have 997TT (07 with PCCB and all the fruit) but am selling it to buy a CS after 9 months. Actually I bought a new Cayman S for my wife which has shown up the TT for a muscle bound and insulated from the road car that is not all that fun to drive. Once you get past the massive power (6months) it just isn't much fun unless you drive it like you stole it which the cops don't like much. I also drove my friend's C4S (07) today and that felt much better than TT. If you want a 911 suggest a GT3 but otherwise Ferrari. Don't get me wrong, I love Porsches and Cayman S and Cayenne T are fantastic and will stay in my garage for a long time just not the TT.

    I have a 07 997TT fully loaded.
The drive is absolutely amazing but lacks the "fun factor" of a true sports car. Its fast - but very sedate. If I were to do it again, I would get the GT3 or GT2 (if you can get it) instead of the TT.
Get the 6 Speed. The Tip on the Porsche is a joke.

WOW! That is a SA-WEET deal right there! GREAT cars, and that is a GREAT COLOR too!!!

I can't imagine you would have much trouble selling that car at that price! Wish I had $60k handy!

I too owned a 997TT and I completely echo these comments. Nowhere near as much fun as a 997S in fact. Too heavy, fat, etc. Speed is amazing however.

I think it is a great price for a one owner, all records, 2yr warranty and full carbon fiber package.
I have listed it on Ebay twice with no luck. I have it on Craigs list right now and I am starting to get some interest.

I can't even believe that!!! What do they expect...GIVE IT AWAY?! If it gets to that point give it my way! ;-) Someone is going to get a spectacular car at an awesome price! Wish it were me, but my time will come eventually!

    Best,
    James
