This is a 33′ “Gentleman’s Racer,” it’s a speed boat with a mahogany stepped-hull that was handbuilt by Tom Hill and Peter Russett in Vermont over the course of 13 months. It’s powered by a 28 liter (1,710 cubic inch) supercharged V12 Allison aircraft engine producing 1,100+ bhp.

Named “Miss Universe,” this boat was developed in the spirit of the early mahogany racing boats built for the Gold Cup which was first run on New York’s Hudson River in 1904...

RNM.......no real bidders on this one.
Way too much $$ spent by the seller, can never recoup.
Most/no one really understands what the boat is or would pay the real value for it........

    That engine.

    From the comments:

"Yes sir! Nothing says, “I have plenty of disposable income,” more than a 33-foot wooden boat powered by an Allison V12.

Well......first off the photos (without bikini babes) are not that attractive. I feel the same way about this boat as I do about replicas of Shelby Mustangs and Cobras. People will invest a ton of money to make it "just like" the original but it isn't.

I'm not sure what you would do with this thing.

To be fair, it is an 'original', not a copy of anything. It's just that the design result may not appeal to many. It was built by/for a wealthy guy to test/play with big motors; when he was done, it got sold. And here it is.....
