Should I trade in my 360 F1 modena ( low mileage) for a F 430 F1 or should I buy a 550M on the side?
Mhmmmm....decisions....strange to find the right answer. Your 360 F1 is NOT a Stradale? So, go and sell the 360 B4 the prices are dropping more & more down for the "usual" 360. If its a Stardale - keep the car!!!!!! A F 430 is not realy a big difference to the Stradale - see lap times at the Ring. O.K. resumee - sell the 360F1 and go for the F430. best Wolfgang
Definitely a 550M on the side! You can choose between the pleasures of having a very tossable 8 cylinder Ferrari and a powerful 12 cylinder GT.
You can only drive one car at a time... but still I would choose for keeping the 360 and adding the 550... Like has been said before you would have the pleasure of having both a Ferrari V8 AND a Ferrari V12 in your stable... very tempting IMO
Keep the 360 and ad a 550!!! No question about it!! Unless money is no object and you really really want to drive the latest toy!! Otherwise, keep in mind that in about 5 years a 430 will have depreciated alot more then a 360 and a 550 together!!
my opinion on this, buy that 550 M and sell the 360 why? Question is do you still like to drive the 8 cill. after driving a 12 cill. ? I'm afraid the 8 cill. will be lesser in use and remember that a 12 cill. always keep his value. Rob
I don't agree Rob! The 12 cylinder is very different and a real GT (especially on long distances)but the 8 cylinder feels more sporty and will never loose it's charme (in my humble opinion).
Agree with you! A 360 and a 550 are completely two different cars! If you wanna go for a short sporty drive, then the 360 is the perfect car! But if you're going for a longer drive on more open roads then the 550 is the perfect GT!!! BTW Ton: A 512 TR fits in the middle maybe???
Ton, I agree with you thats correct. But three weeks ago I test drive a 365 BB ( one of my favourist ) and after that I drove home in my 308 GTB and it looks like that the whole time I drove with the handbrake still on and looks the car is not driving good anymore. thats what I mean.Rob
Ha ha! The 512 TR is one of the sporty 12 cylinder supercars. In that way you might see it as something that has a bit of both. But it is absolutely uncomparable with both.
Ha ha! That is so true! The 365 GT4 BB is an absolute monster when it comes to power. That also shows the problem with the 3x8 series nowadays because they are not really powerful anymore if you compare them to modern cars. Nevertheless they have a fantastic charisma. They will always bring a smile to your face. The comparison between the 360 and the 550 is different. The 360 has 400hp. But it deliveres the 400hp in a completely different way than the 12 cylinder cars. So they are both powerful cars yet uncomparable. Are you interested in buying a 365 GT4 BB? They are absolutely unique cars.
Ton, I drove that car only to feel and compare the real differents between the two cars, ofcours I know there is a big difference, it's a monster to drive but at the end of the day I was able to drive it in a normal way but what a feeling and what a day.remember that car was not mine so I have to take care also.I have to commit that I never drove a 360.Rob
Buy a 430. The 550 M is a) a bit slower, b) less fun to drive and c) nearly impossible to sell at the moment...but if you don't care about the money / sales issue, then the decision is much more difficult...
I wished I had your problem ;-) You already have a fantastic car (360). The 430 is the dream car I will never get, the 12cyl (550/575) do nothing to me as they are huge touringcars and not as sporty as the 8 cyl. models.
Ton , sorry for the late reply but the schedule for today was " food by the Jappanees ". yes I drove the 365 gt4 BB really awesome if you look from outside it's like a 308 gtb but when you are inside it looks likes that the car is suddenly twice the size and when you start the engine oh man it's thunder and lightning in the same time and driving the car the clutch is very heavy same as the steering and shifting the gears you really need some praxis to do it in a smooth way. but soone as you are on the high-way and on a good speed everything goose easy. except for me because I keep on perspire. but all on all I like it very much even after my arms and legs are in pain for day's.and buying one I dont know a good one is for now to expensive and the one lesser in price need more things to repair $$$.Rob
Sorry, cant agree with us. Who was the winner of the FIA GT WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2005? Prodrive with a F 550 Maranello!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dude, you have a huge problem! LOL!! Id go the F430,but thats what i like, but maybe yeah, stick with the 360 and go the V12 as a 2nd car. You would have fun driving both them beauties!! The best of both worlds!! Good luck with your decision mate!
