The battery in my 360 died a slow death, finally coughing it's last start the other morning - probably due to the cold weather. So I spent some time researching the market and the many batteries out there. I needed adequate power, a reasonable price and importantly the correct size - as I didn't want to spend time altering the hold down straps and mounting plate etc. So I carried my original Bosche battery around a number of shops as a size comparison.
Prices ranged from as cheap as $120 (scarily poor battery though) to some very advanced ones reaching $400. There were a few good batteries that simply wouldn't fit, or would require modifications to the mounting straps etc
In short, the one I settled for and was the best value for money and easy to fit was a Century Battery (DIN 65 LH). This has 660 CCA and was the correct size so it simply bolted straight in very easily. An unexpected bonus was that there are also an Australian made battery (Oi Oi Oi). They cost $190-$200.
If your 360 or 430 battery dies - hopefully this post may save you some time.

The first Pic shows the size comparison against the original bettery - the last one - on the track :).

    Thanks mate
My 360 is coming from UK in 6 weeks time, most likely the battery will be dead - probably a good idea to put in a new battery, god knows how old the current one is.

I intend to replace it every time the belts are changed. Cheers.
