I just came back from my watch dealer (a close friend of mine) and he showed me a very special boxed 3 watch collection of GP's that just came in today. They're a special retrospective edition for the Ferrari 330/P4. The set consists of 3 beautiful GP's in a special box that's a limited run of 25 sets Worldwide (9 of which are on USA soil). He has the last available set (he tried to get another from GP, but they're all gone) and it's a stunning collection of pieces. One is Stainless on a strap, the other Stainless on a Stainless bracelet and the last one is Gold on a brown croc strap. Each piece is numbered (xx/25) and has an engraved F330/P4 on the back of the case.

Here's a couple of photos of the set...if any of you are interested in this very limited set (which has sold out), shoot me a PM and I'll be happy to send you directly to my friend who has it (as of this morning anyway). While it isn't an "inexpensive setof timpieces", I do know that I can help anyone who is seriously interested get a very good price on it.

Take a look...and sorry for the so-so pics. That's the best my Treo 600 could do! :)

Girard-Perregaux is the manufacturer and official Timepiece for Scudera Ferrari. I'll send you a PM with the list price for the set and what I think he will sell it for based on our discussion this morning.

GP does make ladies models, but not specifically within the Ferrari line of pieces. If she doesn't mind wearing a "larger" watch, then she may actually like some of the smaller Ferrari GP's (38mm).

It is a trend now that women wear men-size watches so I think you should try it out. My wife is only 5' 4" slim girl but she wears my Steel Daytona and some days she has my 44mm Panerai on her wrist.

I agree with you on that and have seen quite a few women sporting Daytona's as of late. The 44mm Panny though is a HUGE watch for a woman to sport on her wrist...but if she can wear it, all the power to her! :)

    BTW, you have a PM.

Nothing wrong with that...unless she decides to keep your Panny that is! ;-)

I remember back in the 80's that Ferrari had Cartier manufacture a series of Ferrari Chrongraph watches. Always wish I had pick one of those up. Anyone know about these?

Yes I do know about them. I even have a booklet showing all the various types they made. And to top it off: I even have one such watch. Found it on ebay one day. Lucky strike, especially since the watch is "period correct" for my Ferrari.
