To my fellow Ferrari’s enthusiast and owners,

My name is Mike. I know none of you know me but I am asking if some one could give me a birthday wish. There are a lot of owners that are subscribers to this forum. I am looking for one that has the ultimate Ferrari. I am seeing if someone has the ever elusive F50. I simply want to get my picture taken next to it. The F50 was the first Ferrari I had the pleasure of sitting in almost 8 years ago. It was this car that started my obsession with Ferrari. It was then I decided the day I can own one I will know I have reached the top. It is this dream that has kept me on track these past few difficult years. From what I understand there is only three in the entire northern California area, plus one at a dealership. I would be eternally grateful if I could be in the presence of one for a few moments.

If any one out there knows where one might turn, please let me know. I have been to dozens of Ferrari / exotic get-togethers and have never seen one. I missed the Monterey gathering, I couldn’t get it off work, where there was not only one there but the F50 GT as well (if I had known I would have quit to be there). I couldn’t even begin tell you what I would give for that opportunity again.

This may seem silly to some but this car was and still is my childhood dream.

My birthday is next month, I live in the Bay Area, and more than willing to travel for this opportunity.

I have seen F50's at both Silicon Valley Auto Group and Ferrari of Silicon Valley a few times in the last 2-3 years (and I don't make a special effort to track them). Also, some of the dealer events showcase historic cars and they may be mentioned on this forum about the time they occur (forum members talking about meeting at the events).

I think you just have to keep your eyes open to these web sites (assuming someone doesn't volunteer at some point) and be patient.

Danville is having a Concours D'Elegance on this Sunday from 12pm to 5pm. I would put my money on it that there would be some of the super Ferraris there.

These two, plus the GT1 :D

I hope your wish comes true Mike! I would recommend coming to the Danville D'Elegance Show this Sunday on Hartz Avenue in Danville, 12pm-5pm. One might just show up. Also, like mentioned before, Id stay in touch with Ferrari of Silicon Valley. All three times I have been there there has always been a beautifull F50 sitting in the window. The first time I went, it was in the back in the service department, and I saw a silver F430 that was unlocked and I asked one of the sales guys if I could take a picture next to the 430, seein it was unlocked I thought he might let me sit in it, which he did. Then he asked me "well dont you want a picture inside the F50". I though he'd never asked, a very nice guy, I think his name was Zane. He also gave me a FOSV T-shirt. Those are the only two events and places I can think of that might have one, I wish I could be more help. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!:D

Oh yeah. At Laguna Seca on October 19-21 I know that Ferrari Of Silicon Valley rents out like a little island near the track and tons of F-Cars show up. Last year there was a 599 and an Enzo, maybe one will be there? :D

    Good Luck

Thanks guys. Yes I do know about and plan to attend the Danville event. When I graduated college and moved back here the first thing I did was go down to the FOSV. I know they, or their co-owner Mr. Art Zifiropoulo, is the owner of both A F50 and GT NS001. He has had them in the window numerous times but every time I drive by there not there. Their website even shows the GT sitting next to the Enzo. I feel foolish calling and asking them “what’s in the showroom this week”. Thanks for the heads up though. It always seems like the events I can’t get to have one. It has been driving me crazy for years.

Here is a very, very nice looking photo of the garage area I got from the last Ferrari event I attended.
