    Can you rotate it 180 degrees, then remove/reinsert, and repeat? (Don't have a crank, just curious).

    I replaced my cable and put the window motor back in the door.
    My cable is 331cm long and fits very well.
    I used Martin’s tool to keep the cable on the spool. This works very well.

    Note: this picture was still without new grease.
